Happy New Year!!! I love a fresh start and isn’t the New Year the perfect time to make one? Such a hopeful time full of dreams and goals. Now to figure out the actions to take to make these dreams come true, right? Another fresh start many of us take with each New Year is in some way related to food and eating. Whether it’s following a specific diet, cooking more at home, spending less on food, or one of many other goals there’s no denying food can play a big role in our lives. One of my plans this year is that I will be sharing with you more than just recipes!! I’m so excited to be creating tips and informational posts about slow cooking and about how using our slow cookers can help us to achieve healthier eating, reduce eating out, bringing back the family meal time and create joy in cooking. I can’t wait to start sharing everything I’ve learned with you all and to also hear about your tips and ideas as well!! Also, if you have any slow cooking questions, I’d love to know! I will do my best to answer those questions and provide the best information I can about making meal times meaningful.
Since I know many of you are out there searching for healthier recipes today (I know, because I am too!) I wanted to create an easy roundup of the healthier, more nutritious and/or fresher recipes from my archives to make them easy to find and reference. Using your slow cooker is such a simple way to create wholesome meals at home and I hope that this list will either provide you with some new recipe ideas or show you just how delicious slow cooking can be!
