Life is better with sauces and dressings! I live for them! I plan my meals around them! Gotta have a few good recipes to give your dinner or your salad that little extra kick to make it special. At our house some form of ranch dressing comes along with nearly every meal. Mostly for my 3 year old since you can get her to eat almost anything as long as she can "dip it!". But I like to indulge as well whenever I can find a good reason. And homemade Zesty Lime Jalapeno Ranch is a very good reason!
I first made this to go with one of my favorite quick and easy meals... Veggie Fajita Bowls. But soon I was just finding so many excuses reasons to eat this on all kinds of things! A nice southwest salad, cheesy quesadillas, endless options! I felt it was deserving of a blog post all it's own.
Control the amount of spice you want here. I use one jalapeno but remove the ribs and seeds and I don't find it spicy at all. Just a little kick of flavor. Use ½ a pepper for less spice or leave those ribs and seeds in for more!
It's so easy to make and if you made up your Homemade Ranch Seasoning in advance then it really takes no time at all. (If you haven't made your seasonings yet, you should! Such a huge time saver to have these on hand and the flavors can't be beat!)
You can blend this up in your food processor or even just your blender. I have a blender with an individual smoothie cup and I just use that. Makes for super easy clean up. Time to start drizzling, pouring and dipping!

I often use organic greek yogurt in place of sour cream, (far fewer calories). Do you think it would work for this recipe?
yes! I actually sub out greek yogurt in this recipe often. And when I'm trying to be really good I do mostly greek yogurt and just a little squeeze of mayo. It does change the taste a bit but is still very tasty and much more guilt free 🙂
We really need a dip recipe for this one....
Maybe something using the cheesy buffalo chicken dip recipe as a base...
Mix the taco seasoning with ranch for a cool nacho casserole. . .
SO Many possibilities....
I like the way you think!
Any new recipes....I love to try them...please pass them on.
you've got it 😉
