We love this recipe! This has become one of our favorite meals. I follow the recipe exactly as shown and the results are fantastic every time . We are a household of two and this provides 3 meals(each) for us, goes great with a nice loaf of Italian bread.
hi i was just wondering i don’t have a slow cooker but i do have a rice cooker can i use this instead as i would love to make this recipe
If it has the slow cooker function, then it should be okay!
AMAZING!! I used my leftover shredded Italian beef because we we didn’t want more sandwiches. I used regular diced tomatos and a little bit of sugar instead of cream. My picky 3 year old asks for it regularly.
This recipe looks and sounds sooooo good, I can’t wait to try it. I love my slow cooker and use it often. I just recently signed up for your news letter so I can get more yummy sounding recipes. So keep em coming. ?
So glad to have you join me!!
Since I do not own a slow cooker, I coRosemIt’s cooking as I type. Te aroma in my house is wonderful. Cannot rate at this point since it is not fully cooked. I’ll be back. Thank you for the recipe. I’ll be back with a rating.
Would pork stew meat work in this recipe? I was able to buy many packages on sale and froze them and am looking for different recipes to use them in.
Yes, it should work just fine!
Could I cook this on high instead? If so, what would you suggest for time?
Yes, it’s not preferred to get the best results for the meat, but you could cook it on high for about 4 hours until beef is tender.
This was absolutely fabulous. I slow cooked on high 5 hours then put tortellini in.
Can I freeze this soup after cooking?
Yes, however, keep in mind that the pasta may not hold it’s shape well. If that doesn’t bother you, go for it!
Freeze your soup without the pasta. Freeze the pasta separately. Then add it in while reheating.
Just made this and followed the recipe exactly as posted, and it was delicious! I sent a couple pics to my friends and now they are all asking for the recipe, thanks for sharing I will definitely be making this again!
