Eating chicken that has been cooked with the bones is good for so many reasons. For starters, it adds more protein to your dish. It also keeps your gut healthy, fights inflammation, and boosts your immune system. It’s loaded with vitamins and minerals.

 

Slow Cooker Chicken and Potatoes is a healthy meal that’s family-friendly, quick to prepare, and doesn’t necessitate a lot of clean up. It’s an all-in-one-pot meal with veggies, carbs and protein. It might just be the perfect meal!

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Chicken And Potatoes In A Slow Cooker:

  • chicken drumsticks
  • baby potatoes
  • carrots
  • olive oil
  • herb and garlic seasoning

How To Make Chicken And Potatoes In A Slow Cooker…

  1. Toss all ingredients together until well coated
  2. Add to slow cooker
  3. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6
  4. If desired heat skillet with 2 tablespoon butter

Pro Tips…

Red potatoes tend to cook faster than white. If you want firmer potatoes choose the white variety.

 

You can adjust the seasoning amount and type to shake things up. Try a spicier seasoning for more flavor.

 

Want to make some gravy to serve with your Chicken and Potatoes? You can strain the drippings, mix with cornstarch in small saucepan, and simmer to make a delicious gravy that perfectly compliments your meal.

 

Fresh herbs added before serving will give your chicken even more flavor.

 

If you’d like a crispier skin on your chicken, broil or brown the drumsticks in a skillet after cooking.

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 16 oz baby potatoes
  • 8 oz carrots (peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon herb and garlic seasoning

Instructions

  • Toss all ingredients together until well coated
  • Add to slow cooker
  • Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-6
  • If desired heat skillet with 2 tablespoon butter
