  • flour (regular or gluten-free)
  • olive oil
  • yellow onion
  • green pepper
  • kale
  • herb and garlic seasoning
  • chili seasoning
  • beer
  • diced tomatoes
  • honey
  • tapioca flour (or cornstarch)

How To Make Beer Braised Chicken In A Slow Cooker…

  1. Lightly coat chicken in flour
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet or multi-cooker
  3. Add chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until lightly browned and crispy
  4. Transfer to slow cooker
  5. Add all remaining ingredients except bacon
  6. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 6-8 until chicken is cooked through
  7. Serve chicken over steam rice and topped with bacon

To make Beer Braised Chicken, you can use regular boneless chicken breasts or tenderloins.

 

To braise meat, you should technically cook this on high so that your slow cooker will be around 300 degrees. However, this recipe cooks on low, as well.

 

This Beer Braised Chicken recipe is delicious made with a pumpkin beer or a stout beer. However, you can use any beer you enjoy drinking. They all taste great in this dish!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup flour regular or gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 green peppers diced
  • 1 cup cleaned and sliced kale
  • 1 teaspoon herb and garlic seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon chili seasoning
  • 12 oz beer
  • 14 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca flour or cornstarch, whisked with 1 tablespoon of water
  • 4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon

Instructions
