Get Recipe Ingredients
Begin by preheating a large skillet and adding chopped bacon and diced onion. Cook until bacon is crispy and chopped onions are lightly browned.
Slice off cabbage stem and cut cabbage in half. Remove core and cut cabbage halves into large pieces (about 1 1/2 – 2 inches each).
Place cabbage in slow cooker and top with bacon and onions (include extra bacon grease).
Whisk together mustard, bone broth, and paprika, and pour mixture over cabbage.
Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours until tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Store leftovers for up to 3-4 days in the fridge. I don’t recommend freezing leftovers due to textural changes.
Reheat on a low-power setting in the microwave.
Add a little crushed red pepper for extra spice!
