Get Recipe Ingredients
Place roast in slow cooker
Season with pot roast seasoning
Carefully pour in broth around bottom of slow cooker so seasonings do not wash off
Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 4-5 hours
Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water until smooth, then stir into juice in slow cooker
Cover and continue to heat for an additional 30 minutes, or until juices have thickened
Shred roast and serve it with potatoes or noodles, and pour juices over the top
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 4 days in the fridge or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Reheat with a splash of broth on the stovetop or in the microwave, covered, to prevent drying out. Thaw first if frozen.
Let the roast rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing or shredding to retain the juices.
Cook on low for the most tender results.
Browning the roast first adds flavor, but it is an optional step.
