Freezer Meal Beef Ragu

Forget boring old spaghetti sauce from a jar for dinner and make this Freezer Meal Beef Ragu instead! Just a few minutes of prep ahead time and you can toss this in your slow cooker on a busy day for a rich, flavorful and delicious meal even when life is to hectic to cook!

Ingredients

  • 2 pound chuck roast
  • 2 tablespoons herb and garlic seasoning
  • ½ cup diced carrot
  • ¼ cup diced celery
  • ¼ cup finely diced onion
  • 2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic
  • 56 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to freezer bag
  • Remove air and seal well
  • Freeze for up to 3 months
  • Fully thaw overnight in fridge before cooking
  • Add contents of bag to slow cooker
  • Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or low for 8-10 until roast is fall apart tender

Notes

  • Cut recipe in half to make smaller servings
  • Use leftovers to make baked pasta dishes
