Spiked Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Hot Chocolate:
- 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cream
- 6 oz brandy
Cinnamon Whipped Cream:
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Hot chocolate:
In a small bowl whisk together the cocoa powder, powdered sugar and cornstarch with the water until smooth
Add to slow cooker along with chocolate chips, milk and cream
Cover and heat on low for about 2 hours or until steaming hot
Carefully ladle into small coffee mugs and add about 1 oz of brandy to each drink as desired
Cinnamon Whipped Cream:
Chill a glass or metal bowl
Add whipping cream, sugar and cinnamon
Beat with an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form
