Turkey Burgers with Goat Cheese & Peach BBQ Sauce

Turkey Burgers with Peach and Goat Cheese

Do you ever have those days where you just want to throw dinner on the grill outside and keep all the mess out of the kitchen? On a good day cleaning up the kitchen can be one of my least favorite chores and and on a bad day? Forget it! I’ll get it all prepped up, clean up that little bit of mess, and we can throw everything on the grill and eat on paper plates (and maybe even eat outside). Done! And just like with my tacos, I like to see what crazy flavor combos I can make for my burgers. Why have the same thing over and over when you can mix it up?!

To add breadcrumbs, to not add breadcrumbs? Who knew it could be such a heated topic when it comes to burgers. If you have a strong opinion about not having them in there, by all means leave them out. I decided to give it a try here to as a way to get some whole milk in the recipe as turkey will cook up better with a little fat added to it. I’ve also added olive oil with good results.

Add in some garlic and dried herbs to make a simple but flavorful burger.

My toppings are simple but just different enough from the norm to give these burgers a fun twist. A simple BBQ sauce sweetened up with peaches and my favorite goat cheese melted on top. Perfect flavor combos that I could eat on so many things. In fact after having my first taste of goat cheese ice cream the other day I’m thinking the peach and goat cheese could make quite a tasty dessert! But for now…burgers.
