Pro Tips…

How to buy Brussels sprouts: I prefer the smaller ones, but more importantly make sure they are compact, are dense, don’t have yellow or brown spots and don’t have dark leaves falling off.

What do roasted Brussels sprouts taste like? Roasted brussels sprouts are savory and have a rich and nutty flavor that can almost be buttery like when cooked properly. When done properly, they should be fork tender all the way through, but not mushy. Roasting is my favorite method.

Why are my Brussels sprouts tough? Did they dry out while cooking? Make sure to keep an eye on them and stir them every so often while cooking, and if they start to dry out add a little more oil. This should help keep them tender.
