We’ve been talking a bit about healthier eating goals and what those really mean as well as ways to help you achieve those goals. The heart and soul of our discussions really comes down to defining what healthy eating means for you or your family, whether it be eating at home more, eating a specific diet or even cooking on a budget. What I’d love to help with is showing you ways you can achieve any of those goals, and it all starts with a little planning.
What better way to plan ahead than to have meals all ready to go by doing the prep work and then freezing them. I know, you’ve seen those posts all over Pinterest and you’ve tried make 100 freezer meals in 6 hours plans and ended up falling apart in a heaping crying mess on the kitchen floor with flour in your hair. Oh wait, that was me. For real. I tried so many of these plans but just couldn’t find one that worked for me. It was too much, or required to much work to come up with recipes, or we didn’t like any of the recipes and so on.
So instead, I tried some different things on my own, made notes of what I liked and didn’t like, and I think I have finally come up with an approachable way to meal plan that doesn’t overwhelm and includes recipes that actually taste great!
