This! So true. I mean, why was it never advertised that once you grow up life really gets crazy? Work, house, kids. You will be running in circles all the time if you don’t watch out and you could end up missing out! But at least there are some benefits to growing up…like being able to drink wine with your friends! And I think it should be required that we all remember to take a little time out now and then and enjoy delicious food and wine and some time with our good friends and family. Agreed?
No surprise we’ve had a lot going on in our lives lately and it’s been getting harder and harder to find time to get together with the girls. For years Robyn and I would meet up to go running with our group of friends. But as it has the tendency to do, life has been pulling all of us in different directions lately and it has started to require a little more planning to get together for anything. Thankfully, even though we couldn’t get the whole group organized, we did get our husbands rounded up and had a fun little evening with appetizers and of course a couple of bottles of wine and a chance to celebrate not only our running & race accomplishments for the year but also our friendship!!
When I had the chance to incorporate the Middle Sister Wine into our evening I was pretty excited, not only because it’s one of my usual go-to’s when I grab a bottle of wine, but also because with a brand new make-over the new bottles now have little “Drops of Wisdom” included that embody the unique personalities of each of the “middle sisters” and it can be fun to figure out if the personally matches your favorite wine (drama queen? me? never!!). A great dose of inspiration! Plus, you know, I got to make way too much food to share, because that’s just what I love to do!
And…. a great excuse for pizza 😉 Because pizza and wine…delicious!
It just so happens that both Robyn and I are the middle sister in each of our families so I’d say this worked out pretty well. I kind of like to think these wines were made just for us. These wines are crafted by award-winning winemaker Nancy Walker (a middle sister herself) and the portfolio includes a wide variety of delicious red, white and sparkling wines from California and Argentina. Whether or not you are a middle sister I’d bet if you like wine you can find one (or more, I have several favorites) of these that fits your personality!
So get your sisters, girlfriends and yourself rounded up and get yourself some bottles of Middle Sister Wine to match your mood! Time to celebrate and enjoy life! (Available at most Target Stores where alcohol is sold)
p.s. Do you like my cute little personalized glasses? I’m going to show you how easy and inexpensive they are to make in my first ever DIY post coming up next week!! Recipes for the apps and pizza coming soon!
